This blog was started as a way of keeping myself motivated to keep working out, and the blog has been successful in that aspect. I started running in 2007, and it really has transformed my life. I have discovered so many inspiring individuals through the "blog world" and many delicious recipes. I use this blog to keep track of my training and write about the fun things in life. Keep checking back to read about my training for my first marathon, in February 2011.

The parking lot work-out!
Today I burned nearly 50 calories just by leaving a store and walking through the parking lot to my car. How do I know this? Well I will tell you! Thanks to my most amazing, sweet, and wonderful boyfriend, I am now the very excited and proud owner of a Garmin Forerunner 305!!!! Believe me, I squealed with excitement!! I promised myself that I would not run until Christmas day to make sure my knees were alright, but I am finding every other excuse in the world to test it out! (For example, I burned 4 calories walking from P.F. Chang's to the car.) Tomorrow will be my very first run. I CANNOT WAIT!!! I will warn you now, you will read about this tomorrow. LOL.
I've also added some picture of me and my "baby" (my golden retriever). He's the best dog in the world!!! Oh and I also included a picture of my running Christmas ornaments. I finally ordered the two I said I wanted, and my mom had the other ornament made for me. I am "The Queen of Running Land"! Haha!
I hope you all have a very lovely Christmas!

Cute ornaments, and you'll love the Garmin. Its bulk takes a little getting used to, but otherwise, it's awesome.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I am going go get one tomorrow I think. My wonderful boyfriend gave me cash. Weird, I know. But I am going to get a Garmin with it! Is it hard to use? I can barely set my watch! I'm scared, yet excited at the same time.
ReplyDeleteYou do realize that you may have burned 4 calories walking from PF Changs to the car but prior to that you most likely took in 800-1500 hee hee. I couldnt resist. I want a watch like that. Are you happy that I have finally read a full blog of yours. Merry late Xmas!
