Since I did not sleep well last night and woke up early, I was really tired after work. I came home and relaxed for a bit, then I headed out for a run. I originally planned to run two miles at an easy pace, and for the first mile I felt pretty tired. After that first mile though, I was feeling pretty good. I upped the pace and kicked out two more miles.
Mile 1: 9:39
Mile 2: 9:01
Mile 3: 8:33 (oh yeah baby! Check out that pace!)
Overall time: 27:15 @9:04 pace
Not too shabby! It felt really great to breathe and run. I have a little less than two weeks before my next 5K, and I am hoping my time will be decent. After my run, I did a 10 minute ball ab work-out from ExerciseTV (best channel ever!). I am feeling really great now. I am just hoping that I will not be up coughing tonight, since that usually sets in at night. My fingers are crossed that I am over this bug.
Happy Monday to you all!
This blog was started as a way of keeping myself motivated to keep working out, and the blog has been successful in that aspect. I started running in 2007, and it really has transformed my life. I have discovered so many inspiring individuals through the "blog world" and many delicious recipes. I use this blog to keep track of my training and write about the fun things in life. Keep checking back to read about my training for my first marathon, in February 2011.
I'm glad you are feeling better and good job on your run! :)
