Relaxing Saturday and Yoda

Before I start my post about today, I remembered one additional thing I wanted to mention about my acupuncture experience.  One of the best things about my appointment was the one-on-one time spent with the doctor.  Whenever I visit the health center at my school, or even the ear nose and throat specialist I saw last month, I never spent more than 10 minutes with the doctor.  I tend to feel like the appointment is rushed, but acupuncture was not like that at all.  That is just another reason why I think I am going to go back.

This morning I slept in, then said good bye to Chris while he went to play golf with Ryan.  I read journal articles and relaxed until it was time to meet up with the boys and Caitlin for lunch.  First Caitlin and I met at our local running store, because she wanted to SPIBelt for herself.  I picked up several different energy goo things to test out during long runs.

Then we met the boys at a restaurant and bar called Jax.  I enjoyed a few pickles until our order came, and I sipped on some Pear Woodchuck cider.  Yum!  Chris enjoyed a Black Velvet (Strongbow and Guinness).  For lunch I had a bbq pork wrap that came with chips.  The food was pretty good.  Does anyone else think that chips that are folded just taste better?  I am convinced.  As we were leaving the parking lot, I saw an amusing sign that read "Princess Parking Only".  Cute!

I love folded chips!
After some shopping and cleaning, I decided that I wanted to watch a movie while folding the four loads of laundry that have been piling up.  Our Blockbuster is a mile away, so I decided to do a nice easy run to get the movie.  I put my ID, credit, and blockbuster cards in my SPIBelt and headed off.  I took it easy, since it was hot and I was supposed to have a rest day.  I rented my movie then ran home.

Later I got to wish my grandpa a Happy 75th Birthday!  Below is a picture of him, my grandma, and my niece from the 4th of July last year.
Happy Birthday Grandpa!
Chris and I are now watching the movie "It's Complicated" while I blog then proceed to fold laundry.  Just to leave you with a laugh, I thought I would share with you one of the amusing pieces of um... artwork in our home.  Chris has a life-size statue of Yoda.  Yes, that is right.  Yoda.  His mom won it in a contest, and Yoda protects the entertainment center, and in the picture you will see that Zack protects Yoda.  Yoda also likes his straw hat.  Do you have anything crazy in your home?
"Do or do not... there is no try."
“Powerful you have become, the dark side I sense in you.”
I have a group run in the morning.  I hope you all are having a terrific weekend!
