This week has been pretty stressful, but now it is time to relax and have some fun. Tomorrow I am going to my family reunion / Christmas get-together, and I am so excited! It is the first time I will have seen many of most of my family members since Chris and I got engaged. I also get to see my adorable little niece, which is a big deal because when they are that young they are like completely different people every time you see them.
I only ran 9 miles this week (three three-mile runs). The first I ran with Caitlin which was on Tuesday. Then Wednesday I ran with my co-worker Bala, and yesterday I ran with my co-worker Katie. While three days in a row is not my ideal three days of running, I had a really busy schedule this week and knew I would not have time tonight (I just finished work... organic synthesis days = long days) and will be out of town tomorrow.
I hope that you all are doing great. I'm going to try to do a little catch-up on my blog reading before meeting Chris for dinner.
This blog was started as a way of keeping myself motivated to keep working out, and the blog has been successful in that aspect. I started running in 2007, and it really has transformed my life. I have discovered so many inspiring individuals through the "blog world" and many delicious recipes. I use this blog to keep track of my training and write about the fun things in life. Keep checking back to read about my training for my first marathon, in February 2011.
Hey, when we are busy, we have to sometimes change our workout schedule. I've been there many times! :) And running with friends sounds like fun (although I have done every single run in my training by myself- all my friends HATE running...they are missing out ;))
ReplyDeleteBeing with the family around the holidays is always fun! Have a great time tomorrow! :)
Wow, you are still doing your streak of running 3 times per week. Sooo impressive!!! :) Have fun with your family :)
