Group run and birthday bbq

I thought the movie "It's Complicated" was surprisingly good.  I really enjoyed it.  

I started this morning by joining the running group for a run around the lake.  It was very humid, and I was soaked by the time we finished running.  I ran with two other people for most of the run, and we took a few walk breaks.  In total we ran 4.95 miles in 50:54 for an average pace of 10:17.  Then we all went to Barnies coffee and hung out. 

After I got home, I took a nap before Chris and I headed to our friend's home to celebrate Federica's birthday with a delicious bbq and pool party.  We had a wonderful time!  The pool was a great way to cool down, because the sun was brutal today.

Later, Chris and I did some grocery shopping, cleaning, and cooking.  My dinner was awesome!  I had some homemade chicken nuggets and finally tried baked beans on a sweet potato.  Delicious!  Oh, I also had some broccoli, sweet wine, and amazing key lime pie frozen yogurt for dessert.


I have a day off from running tomorrow, and I am looking forward to relaxing!  Now I am going to get ready for bed.  I hope you all have had a fantastic weekend.

    I totally want to see It's Complicated! I keep thinking it would suck but Alec Baldwin's "OMG I thought he'd never leave" cracks me up!

    That looks tasty! I need to start some healthy cooking. I've been eating out too much because it's fast and cheap. It's another downside of the end of the semester.

    i found your blog via the blog plug on HTP. had to check it out because you're the only other jes with one s i've seen. i've spent my life having to explain to people that jes is only one s.. not two. anyways, good luck with the running and i look forward to reading more.

    Retta: It's Complicated was way better than I thought it was going to bed. I did enjoy it. That line in the movie was hilarious. I hope your running is going well.

    Jamie: I know what you mean! All the eating out for convenience only makes me feel dreadful by the end of the semester. But after finals I always look forward to cooking again. I have found so many delicious recipes from other blogs. I cannot wait to make more dinner recipes now that the summer semester is finally here.

    Jessica aka Jes: I'm so glad you found my blog! Caitlin@HTP's blog is so wonderful, and I think that here plug blog was brilliant. Also, I'm so glad you also spell your name with one s! Not only is one S more unique, it just makes sense! Syllables are always split between the double letters... mit-tins, kit-tins, jes-sica! Hehe.
