This blog was started as a way of keeping myself motivated to keep working out, and the blog has been successful in that aspect. I started running in 2007, and it really has transformed my life. I have discovered so many inspiring individuals through the "blog world" and many delicious recipes. I use this blog to keep track of my training and write about the fun things in life. Keep checking back to read about my training for my first marathon, in February 2011.

Flax seed storage?
I just read something about flax seeds going bad quickly. If you have been reading this, you know that I only very recently discovered flax seeds. I have been storing them in a zip-lock bag in my pantry. Should I move them to the refrigerator or freezer? Will it become obvious when they have gone bad? How often should I replace my box of flax seeds (I have a feeling I will not finish this box before it goes bad). If it makes a difference, here is the flax seed that I purchased (shown in the top right). Also, wheat germ was also recommended to me. Which is better? I'm trying to learn about new healthy and fun recipes, so I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks!
