I am running TODAY! Tuesday I did not get home until it was dark. Wednesday we went out to Universal Studios after the conference. Thursday I was just plain exhausted (was out too late at Universal then had to get up at 5:30 to go to the conference). Finally Friday I had every intention of running. I really wanted to run. Then tutoring was a half hour later than I thought it was, and I ended up tutoring for longer than I thought I would. It was getting pretty dark by the time I got home. Chris had a night out with the boys, so rather than rushing to try and fit in a short run, I decided I'd rather cook dinner and hang out with him before he left. That makes 4 days without running! Eek! Well I must have still been super tired, because I slept for 10 hours last night!
What does all of this add up to? The fact that I am now very well rested and will go for glorious run today! I'm not running just to make sure I get in my 3rd run for the week, rather I'm running because I really really really want to! That is such a wonderful feeling! And tomorrow morning I am finally going to meet with my first running group! I am terribly excited and nervous! They plan a 4-6 mile run with coffee and bagels after. I cannot wait!!! This is the group I found through Meetup.com, and they run every Sunday. I will let you all know how it goes.
I have started my day with what is currently my favorite smoothie.
1/3 can pumpkin,
Small vanilla yogurt
Tiny bit of nutmeg
Tons of cinnamon (I looooove cinnamon!)
Half a banana
1 tbsp flax
A little milk
Ice
Not only is it a beautiful green, but it tastes delicious and is very smooth!
Oh and one last thing... The amazing boyfriend, Chris, surprised me this week with some lovely purple flowers! He knows just how much I love purple! He is the best!
