Tomorrow is my first group run, and it begins at the start of Cady Way Trail. Since I'm already nervous out the meet up, I wanted to know exactly where the trail was, so I wouldn't get lost in the morning. (There is a reason why Chris bought me a Garmin for my car. I have the worst sense of direction. I even get lost in the mall!) I asked Chris if we could run today along the trail, and he thought it was a great idea. It was not difficult to find at all. We headed out, then actually made a detour off the trail to find a bathroom. That was one stop, just short of 1 mile. At two miles we decided to walk for a bit. He was running faster than the pace my body felt like going, and while it was not hot, it was warmer than the weather I have been running in. Then we finished up with another mile of running, which if I recall correctly did have a short walk as we were trying to figure out our way back to the car (thank goodness for the map on my Forerunner 305 aka Garmy). Chris and I both felt really good when we finished.
Garmy is set to lap at every mile, so here at the stats (keep in mind there were some pauses during the first and third mile).
Mile 1: 9:48
Mile 2: 9:35
Mile 3: 9:17
After, we ate lunch at Panera. Then we set out to find a set of ramekins, so I can try Caitlin's baked oatmeal. This evening we are going to have dinner with friends, and I'm looking forward to trying a new restaurant.
I hope you all are doing great!
